ucd is a command-line (sort of) program for displaying information about Unicode characters. It does this by looking up characters or code points in the Unicode Character Database.

Normally it displays character information to the terminal. However, it has a (very rudimentary) Gtk program that can display them in a Gtk window. Gtk2 is required for this to work.
